The beach in Playa Tamarindo
The beach is beautiful white sand and you can walk all the way to Playa Langosta. The wave is small and steady providing the perfect place for beginner surfers to practice. You can easily find a surf instructor among the many shops that line the beach. There are several great restaurants right on the beach as well, perfect for a sunset cocktail or a bite to eat. At the south end of the beach you find several boats anchored close to shore. These boats offer daily fishing and snorkeling trips when you need a break from surfing.
With the population being the biggest in the area there are plenty of options to fit every need and every budget. While beachfront is limited there is an abundance of ocean view homes, condos and commercial opportunities. Playa Tamarindo is by far the biggest “city” at the beach with a growing community of expats from all over the world.
