Playa Tamarindo is one of the most well known surf towns in Costa Rica, made famous by the Robert August movie Endless Summer. You can even find Robert August in town these days shaping boards and hanging out at Witch’s Rock Surf Camp where it all started. The wave in Playa Tamarindo is ideal for surfers of all levels both long and short borders. If surfing is your thing you can also enjoy the breaks at Playa Langosta just to the south and Playa Grande just to the north.
