RESERVA CONCHAL GOLF CLUB
Robert Trent Jones II, a name an avid golfer probably recognizes, designed the course at Reserva Conchal. The 71-par championship course sweeps along rolling hills and offers golfers magnificent ocean views. This is an all-levels course and the perfect place to play if you are staying in Playa Grande. The course is so exceptional that in 2008 the Costa Rica TLA Masters took place here, which was the first professional golf tournament ever held in Guanacaste.

HACIENDA PINILLA GOLF CLUB
The golf course at Hacienda Pinilla, just north of Playa Avellanas is a popular course for locals and traveling golfers alike. What’s unique about Hacienda Pinilla and their golf course is that they are a member of the National Audubon Society and are adamant about conserving and restoring the natural ecosystems and the wildlife on their property. This award-winning course that was designed by Mike young offers a blend of tropical dry forest and ocean views. It is a gorgeous place to spend the day and hit a few balls.

OCEAN COURSE ON THE PAPAGAYO PENINSULA
The Ocean Course ranked as one of the “Top 100 Courses Outside of the United States” by Golf Digest. Arnold Palmer designed this spectacular 18-hole, par-72 course. The mix of bright green hills, lush forests, and dramatic coastline make this one of the most picturesque courses in Costa Rica. If you are staying on the Papagayo Peninsula getting to this course is a breeze. However, it is also not too far to drive from Playa Grande for a round of golf.
You will also find a well-stocked pro shop and a variety of rental equipment. There is a practice range, as well as opportunities to learn from a pro if you are looking to improve your game.
